DEBATE IN AMERICAN CULTURE CLASS

     The class was organized with four groups, two for Romney and two for Obama and 4 judges.

     In first the groups supported the principal candidate ideas in different way, like economy, education, immigration, oil, abortion, religion and new politics in USA. 

     The idea to defend what each candidate wants about the different issues, and how the students in the debate can defend that, but with the unique intention to support the candidate’s ideas about it.

     Every group did a great job, because they were correct about with the principal subject the candidate believe din such as the economy, immigration and abortion mainly.

     Finally, I can say we understood what the politics situation in USA is and what the best ideas are for the presidential candidates here, and how they want to help for a better country for the Americans and immigrants who live in USA.

WHO IS JOHN?


I like this story because, I can see many different forms about racism.
It is not just in USA; also in all the world we have a different situations doing that, depend how is our culture and formations about it as well.

The problem in the story is racism, John who is a black man feel discrimination with neighborhood, and also with a police in sometimes, I have admiration to him because don't respond with a wrong behavior, he just feel angry, but keeps calm and silence.  Him is discriminated but his actions is to respect to the others, he does not responds them with a bad attitude.


To remember ....
we have around to the world discrimination about religion, thinking, ideology, gender, race.

JOHN LENNON

John Lennon

Was born in Liverpool (1940)

Was a singer, was a founder of The Beatles.

He was married with Yoko Ono (1969).

Lennon revealed a rebellius nature and acerbic wit in his music, he was also very controversial because of his peace activism. He was critical of the Vietnam war, and he had a lot of problems with Richard Nixon's administration therefore they tried to have him deported.
Lennon spend for three years out of deportation hearing until on 8 October 1975.
But the courts would not condone selective deportation based upon secret political grounds. Therefore he stayed in the United States.
In 1975 Lennon was ordered to leave the US within 60 days.
Lennon and his wife Ono held a press conference at the  New York city Bar Association, they announced the formation of the state of NUTOPIA. This is a place where people exist not paper than mark divisions.
In 1976 his U.S inmigration status finally resolved.

Unit 4  what makes a competition unfair?

PROFFESIONAL ATHLETES EARN VERY HIGH SALARIES

In the world I think their salaries are too high because many people around the word like teams so much.

I consider this situation is good for the people who always like that, but in some times is something much and don't see other situation more important for pay or give the money.

Personally, I think that this team has a lot of money can give something to different poor groups in the country.

It is very bad when I see how these teams or some people get a lot of money but they forget the other that have a real need.

On the other hand I think we need more mind about problems or sport more important or than help people.

Good salary?

Poor teams.. everywhere.



 Reflection

I chose this writing piece, because now it is the olympic time evrybody, all the news in the world, just talk about it.  Also this is because my country is participating in the olympics.

I would change about the real salary in history.

I would also change the minor importance, such as better salary and oportunities to get more attentions.

My country in the London olympic games, I think doing well. I don't like so much sports, but I read somethings for this post. 

We have  four medals, three silver medals, one bronze medal and one Olympic diploma.

I can say about our athletes on London, they are people who dedicated many time to train in their sports, in the mayority is people who didn't have economic resources but this, it is not impediment for achieve their dreams.

I am so happy for them and also for my country because this awards opening many doors in this camp.

We, Colombian people celebrated our independence day in Hamlington beach park, in Rochester New York last Sunday. I wanna sharing some pictures from our activity.

Definition, community service

Community service is when you do something for someone else without the intentions of getting a reward or money. Community service can be carried out by simple acts such as helping someone carry groceries to painting a wall at a local building. This service should benefit someone other than yourself and it should be done because you would like to help and not because you are required to. Although some people may receive mandatory community service after committing a crime, it is important that you realize that there are many community service opportunities around you.

The volunteer here in this organization are to help in services are provided with profound respect for individual abilities and accomplishments and compassionate assistance that helps them achieve the things they cannot do alone.  All of the services are individualized, centered of the goals and dreams of one person, and directed toward those and. 

I think is very important to help, because is people than don’t have the same opportunity in the life, like to us in study, work or because is people than have a bad experience in your lives. also because today is for them, tomorrow for me or someone from my family or friends.
