EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

The differences in the educational system between my country and USA;

  • How to grade in Colombia is from 0 to 5.
  • Assisted is mandatory in elementary, middle and high schools, but not at colleges and universities.
  • given the difference between the adquisitory power of Colombia and USA we can say that education here is less expensive than in Colombia, this is because a university semester in Colombia cost twelve monthly minimum wages and here it cost less.
  • for economical strata, one, two and three there is free public education.

    Oscar, I am also interested in learning more about the system in Colombia. I am wondering what you mean by economical strata 1,2, and 3. When you say there is free education, does this include study at college or university? Is the education free through high school?
